Mi Healing was founded by Dr Amy Tan with the goal of providing quality and evidence-based Chinese medicinal care to everyone. She believes that Chinese medicine can be integrated easily into everyday life and is passionate about educating and helping people find ways to achieve this.
Chinese medicine can help* with the management of a range of health conditions, such as:
Aches and pains, due to an injury or conditions such as arthritis, sciatica, frozen shoulder, spinal issues, tendonitis;
Women's health conditions such as menstrual issues, fertility issues or menopause;
Mental health conditions such as stress, depression, anxiety;
Dermatological conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, alopecia;
Other general conditions such as rhinitis, allergies, insomnia, poor appetite or digestion, poor metabolism, malaise/tiredness, headaches, dizziness;
Post-surgical recovery and rehabilitation from chronic or severe conditions
*It should be noted that Chinese medicine is not a cure-it-all. Neither is it a substitute for mainstream medical care. Our practitioners are fully-trained and, where appropriate, will be able to work with your medical practitioners to provide you with an integrated and holistic management.
Chinese medicine is not only about treating disease, but it also has a strong focus on health preservation (in daily life, as well as before or after onset of a disease). We have all heard that we need to "live a healthy life", but at times, the proverbial spanner gets in the way and it is sometimes not possible to do it all. This is where Chinese medicine can help undo some of the damage. In Chinese medicine, we do this by fine-tuning your body's physiological functions (we like to call this "restoring the harmony of Yin and Yang in the body") using Chinese medicine therapies such as acupuncture and the administration of herbal medicine.
Our plush centre has two fully-equipped acupuncture treatment rooms and a very well-stocked herbal dispensary. Our patients' health and wellbeing is our top priority and we use Japan-made Seirin needles which are renowned for their superior quality. Our raw herbs are free of sulphur and additives and our granule herbs are supplied by SunTen Pharmaceuticals, which has Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and Halal (from the Taiwan Halal Integrity Development Association) certifications.
We welcome you to experience at our centre! Each detail in the centre - from our treatment equipment to the colour and material of furnishings and decor - has been meticulously chosen, to promote a sense of peace, relaxation, rejuvenation and recuperation. We also highly recommend that you savour a cup (or more!) of our Healing Tea while you are here!
