Acupuncture

Acupuncture refers to treatment where very fine needles are inserted into specific points on the body to help balance the body's energy. There is usually minimal or no pain and treatment can be very relaxing.

At Mi Healing, each treatment is prescribed after complete history taking and health assessment has been done by your practitioner. Acupuncture treatments may consist of a single or combination of acupuncture, ear acupuncture, scalp acupuncture, electroacupuncture, cupping, gua sha, bloodletting and/or moxibustion, depending on what best suits your condition.

COMPREHENSIVE Consultation*: Up to 90 minutes, RM 180

FOLLOW-UP Consultation: Up to 60 minutes, RM 150

During treatments, patients are encouraged to wear loose, comfortable clothing and bring along any doctor's letters/lab or imaging reports and list of medication/supplements.

Herbal medicine can also be prescribed in addition to your acupuncture treatment (herbal medicine incurs separate charges).

Cosmetic Acupuncture

Cosmetic acupuncture, also known as facial acupuncture, uses acupuncture needles on the face and neck region to improve the lymphatic and circulatory system, increase collagen production and support the skin's ability to repair itself. This very relaxing treatment can help even out and maintain healthy complexions, improve skin elasticity and reduce fine lines and wrinkles.

For better results, cosmetic acupuncture will usually also include some acupuncture on the body or limbs, to help harmonise any imbalances in the body that is affecting the skin. It is not recommended to have cosmetic acupuncture and cosmetic Gua Sha on the same day.

Cosmetic Acupuncture: Up to 45 minutes, RM 150

Cosmetic Acupuncture add-on (subject to suitability): added on to acupuncture treatment, + RM 100

During treatments, patients are encouraged to wear loose, comfortable clothing and preferably without make-up. There is no down time required after treatment and you will be able to apply make-up immediately after the session.

Cosmetic Gua Sha

Cosmetic Gua Sha, also known as facial Gua Sha, uses mild scraping techniques on the face and neck region. It can relieve tension from the facial muscles, promote lymphatic drainage, stimulate blood circulation and smoothen fine lines. Cosmetic Gua Sha treatment is subject to suitability after assessment by your practitioner or contact us for further advice on your suitability.

For better results, cosmetic Gua Sha will usually also include some acupuncture on the body or limbs, to help harmonise any imbalances in the body that is affecting the skin. It is not recommended to have cosmetic acupuncture and cosmetic Gua Sha on the same day.

Herbal Medicine

Chinese herbal medicine prescribed at Mi Healing is based on your individual condition; no two formulae are the same. Each formula usually consists of a combination of plant products, minerals and there may be animal products as well - please let your practitioner know if you prefer not to have animal products and/or have any known allergies.

We only use herbal medicine that is allowed by the Ministry of Health, Malaysia and do not dispense herbs that have been known to cause harm or have been sourced from endangered species.

We would like to remind patients to bring along any doctor's letters/lab or imaging reports and list of medication/supplements.

Available types of herbal medicine:

Raw Herbs
RM/bag

One bag of herbs will yield one day's worth of herbal decoction. Raw herbs requires patients to prepare and cook herbs at home using a clay or stainless steel pot or an electric pre-programmed herb cooker.


Herbal Decoction

(minimum 7 days' dose)

Have your personal raw herbal decoction without the hassle of cooking. The herbal decoction option is where Mi Healing will handle the cooking and also conveniently pack your decoction in ready to drink heat-filled sachets, which can last up to 6 weeks. Each sachet is equivalent to one dose, and depending on your condition, you will be advised to take two or three sachets a day.
Herbal decoction can be picked up from the centre the next working day or delivery can be organised (delivery charges apply).


Granule herbs
RM /day

Granule herbs are a convenient option, with no cooking involved. They can be taken as is with warm water, or with the help of Oblate Pouches, or by dissolving the granules in half a glass of hot water and drinking the mixture when warm. Granules are packed in dose-specific sachets, and you may be required to take two or three sachets a day, depending on your condition.


Patented pills/capsules
RM

Pills and capsules are the most convenient option. However, these form of herbal medicine cannot be fully personalised to suit your condition. Patent pills/capsules are good to help health preservation or during the management of chronic conditions.

Mi Healing provides end-to-end encrypted video call service for herbal medicine consultation.
